Contextpipe — Refund Policy
0. The short version
Every paid tier carries a 30-day, no-questions-asked refund. If Contextpipe isn’t for you within the first 30 days, you get all your money back. No forms, no justification, no friction.
This policy is the consumer-facing companion to the commercial refund terms in our Terms of Service §6. If anything here conflicts with the Terms, the Terms control.
Effective date: 2026-05-28.
1. 30-day money-back guarantee
All paid tiers — Pilot ($9/month) and Forever ($99 one-time), including the Founding 100 cohort — are covered by a 30-day no-questions-asked refund.
- For Pilot, the window runs from your initial purchase, and again from the most recent renewal.
- For Forever (and Founding 100), the window runs from the one-time purchase.
Within the window, we issue a full refund — you don’t need to tell us why.
2. How to request a refund
Two ways, whichever you prefer:
- Self-serve — Contextpipe sells through a third-party Merchant of Record (MoR), so refunds and billing are handled in the customer portal linked from your purchase receipt (the portal link is active at launch).
- Email us — Write to [email protected] and we’ll process it for you.
Refunds are issued back to your original payment method by our Merchant of Record. Because the MoR is the seller of record, the refund — like the original charge — appears on your statement under the payment provider’s name, not Contextpipe. (The provider’s name is shown on your receipt.)
3. Subscriptions (Pilot — $9/month)
- Cancel anytime from the customer portal linked in your purchase receipt.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then.
- We do not pro-rate a partially used billing period on cancellation. (Within the first 30 days, the full refund above applies instead.)
4. One-time purchases (Forever — $99)
- Covered by the same 30-day window from the date of purchase.
- The Founding 100 promotional price ($59) is also refundable within 30 days. Note that refunding a Founding 100 purchase does not reserve your slot if you decide to re-purchase later — the cohort is first-come, first-served.
5. After 30 days
- Refunds after the 30-day window are discretionary.
- If we materially fail to deliver a promised feature, we will issue a pro-rata refund for the affected, unused portion — reach out to [email protected].
6. 90-day sunset commitment
If we ever wind Contextpipe down, our Terms §3 commit us to: at least 90 days’ written notice, a pro-rata refund of any unused portion of an active Pilot subscription and of the hosted-sync portion of an active Forever license, open-sourcing the last 6 months of Pro feature code under AGPL-3.0, and a working data export and deletion path for your encrypted sync blobs.
